Meet the commercial re-engineers

 

Paul Helderman - Partner

Paul is an experienced international managing director and consultant with a successful track record, including start-ups and turnaround in FMCG industry.

Paul began his career in sales at Procter & Gamble, and through various international postings in the US, The Netherlands, and Turkey advanced to managing the company’s key account operation in Switzerland.

Paul was then recruited by British American Tobacco for fast track to general management. Focused initially on ‘trouble shooting’ roles to re-focus trade practices in strategic markets, he moved quickly to general management, where he turned around the flagging business models in the Czech Republic and Uzbekistan. Paul was then promoted to set up a unique ‘greenfield’ market development of $250 million for BAT in Turkey, followed by a stint in head office to ‘revitalise’ the trade marketing function worldwide.

Paul is a founding partner of PACH Solutions consultancy, bringing his vast experience to solving business issues such as commercial turnaround (global dairy company) and business privatisation (private equity).

When not Sales Re-Engineering, Paul can be found navigating the Mediterranean on his beloved sailboat, where he often hosts conference calls and any lucky nearby client who wants to come on board.

Chris Bennfors - Partner

Chris is a senior sales & marketing professional with a wealth of global experience in customer, channel and trade marketing. He has worked both on the client and consultancy/agency side across a wide range of blue chip companies including Coca-Cola, British American Tobacco, Proctor & Gamble, Nokia and Heineken.

Chris started his career in sales at Coca-Cola where after various commercial roles he was asked to establish the companies inaugural category management department.

He then joined British American Tobacco as Global Head of Category Management, where he first led the development and implementation of category marketing globally, followed by a secondment to the US as Director of Trade Strategy to revitalize the company’s trade marketing approach.

Next, Chris moved to G2/Grey as the Global Trade Marketing Director helping build and manage a global trade marketing agency network across 40 markets. Since setting up PACH Solutions Chris has consulted on go-to-market opportunities in the food, alcohol, fmcg and sports industries.

Well known for his natural golf swing, outside of PACH’s Sales Re-Engineering, Chris will use his time on the golf course to help think through latest strategies particularly at the “19th” hole.
